AT&T Refer-A-Friend & Other Discounts

This the concluding part 3 and 4 of my series on saving money on your AT&T services bill. AT&T offers a nifty refer-a-friend program that awards both you and your friend with a $25 AT&T gift card for every family member or friend you refer to a new wireless plan (up to $125 a year). Because I messed it up the first time, I'll go through this with you. 1) Enter the referral website and register for the program. 2) Within 30 days activating a new wireless service with AT&T, your friend should visit the same website. 3) While registering, AT&T will ask your friend about how they heard about the program. Your friend will click the circle that says "My Friend is an AT&T customer and referred me." and input his/her new AT&T cell phone number. And presto, you and your friend are connected and will receive $25 AT&T gift cards shortly. These cards can be used for AT&T products only...oh, and they can be used to PAY AT&T BILLS! That's my card in the corner there (and duh, I've already used it!).

Also, AT&T has agreements with many businesses, government agencies and schools to offer discounts on wireless products and services. Many people don't realize how extensive this list really is. If you input your email address (firmwide, .gov or .edu) at this page, AT&T can notify you of discounts that exist. I got 6% off with my firm; one of my co-workers inputed his college email address and scored 25% off his bill every month.
